Mumbai Nagpada police have registered a non-cognisable offence against an unidentified person after Haseena Parkar, sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, complained to the police that she had received threat calls on her phone from someone, who claimed that he was from Gujarat.

According to the police, Haseena had approached them on Saturday night. “According to the complainant, she received phone calls from an unidentified number. The person on the other end threatened her saying that there was a case against her in Gujarat and asked her to come down to Gujarat to settle it. The person also threatened her with dire consequences, if she did not heed the warning,” said a police official of the the Nagpada police station.

Acting on her complaint, the police registered a non-cognisable offence against the unidentified person and are inquiring into the issue. Asked what case Haseena has in Gujarat, the official said, “We do not have any idea about what case she is facing in Gujarat.”
