New Delhi, February 13 It’s a cupid inside a bomb: a cocktail that costs Rs 1 lakh, especially made for Valentine’s Day. Called ‘Cupid’s Love Punch’, the drink comprises a dash of Sauvignon blanc wine, some peach schnapps, orange juice, and soda water. A diamond ring placed in the glass provides the finishing touch.

Rajesh Parihar, marketing head of Nasik-based ND Wines that has brought the cocktail top town, says: “We thought of introducing this drink since there has been an increase in wine appreciation.”

The company has till date got three customers: Delhi businessman Vivek Singhania, model Amanpreet Wahi’s fiancée Raghav Narula, and a Madhya Pradesh-based man. “Each year I try and do something different, so this drink seemed an attractive option for a gift,” Singhania says. Wahi, though, is oblivious that she consumed a cocktail worth Rs 1 lakh: “I was given an alcoholic beverage by my boyfriend with a solitaire at the bottom. I had trouble finishing the drink since it had a lot of alcohol.”

The drinks are available at Bonsai restaurant in CP till February 16.
