Nestled in the sprawling, manicured fields of Qutab Golf Course in Lado Sarai is a refreshing new eatery set up by restaurateur AD Singh.

It doesn’t have a name, and that isn’t the only distinctive feature. You aren’t welcome here unless you’re a bit of a golf freak. The good news is the eatery is located in a public golf course with a professional 18-hole turf where the day rates are reasonable at Rs 250 (weekdays) and Rs 400 (weekends). Entry closes at 4pm.

Spread out on the ground floor, the eatery comes dotted with garden umbrellas and overlooks the first hole on the left and the 10th hole on the right.

The kitchen complements the scenic view with an eclectic mix of Mediterranean and Goan dishes.

The diverse menu begins with regular cafe fares like Masala Omlette (Rs 45), Chicken Rolls with Fries (Rs 75) and Grilled Cheese and Tomato Sandwich (Rs 125). Next comes a selection of thin crust pizzas dished out on smart wooden trays.

Options range from Pizza Funghi (Rs 180) with tomato, cheese and mushroom, and Pizza Al Chorizo (Rs 170) with chicken sausage.

The last section in the menu is devoted to coastal cuisine and Singh brings in a handful of delicious Goan recipes from his restaurant Soul Kadi in Goa. The section begins with appetisers like Chapta Fried Chicken (Rs 170) and is followed by scrumptious entrées including Casa Style Chicken (Rs 220) and Chicken Cafreal that you can pair with Malabari Paratha (Rs 40).

Among rice platters, Prawn Curry Rice (Rs 250) and Portuguese Prawn Pulao (Rs 210) are the best bet for seafood lovers.
