Ludhiana The present government lacks sensibility, they should act as a regulator so as to make the system going, said Balramji Das Tandon, senior BJP leader while interacting with the industry on Saturday.

Talking about the hike in the electricity tariff, he said, "We have opposed this move and after the report of the two-member committee, the hiked tariff will be rolled back through a legal process."

He added, "The more the contact with the government, the more will be corruption and hence works should be handled at single window system so as to reduce the harassment of the general public," he added.

Rajinder Bhandari, state BJP President further criticising the policies of the state government said, "On the one hand, the government is giving subsidies to farmers but at the same time they are delaying in the payment of VAT refunds to the industrialists. The financial health of government can improve only if the working of organised sector is smooth."
