Hooda to inaugurate institute for disabled

Panchkula, January 3 Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will inaugurate the National Institute for Disabled in Sector 12 A, Panchkula, on Friday, the eve of 199th Louise Braille anniversary,

His project of establishing the institute for disabled in the newly constructed four-storey building was undertaken by National Handicapped Welfare Council, Haryana. K C Wadhawan, senior vice-president of the council and Honorary Director of the Institute described it as a unique project in northern India where efforts will be made to make the disabled self-dependent by imparting training on different employment oriented courses.

Wadhawan added that Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Kartar Devi, Minister for Urban Development and Housing Savitri Jindal and MLA Geeta Bhukkal will also be present on the occasion.

Computer accessories stolen from shop
Burglars decamped with computer parts and accessories from a computer shop, Johar Computers, SCF No 5, Sector 15, last night by breaking open the door. Though the exact loss could is yet to be ascertained, police officials added the owner of the shop would be submitting a detailed list of the stolen items by tomorrow. Meanwhile, a case on charges of burglary was registered at police station 11.
A Mahindra Scorpio (HR-08-A-0051) belonging to Gaurav Pathak, a resident of house no 25, Sector 21 A was stolen last night.
