Rohtak With Lok Sabha elections round the corner, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his wife Asha Hooda are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that their son, Deepinder Singh Hooda, is re-fielded and wins from the Rohtak Parliamentary seat.

They attended a series of functions and laid foundation stones of five projects today and spent the entire day with the public. A series of blood donation camps were also organised by youth wings.

Inaugurating the first computerised water works in Haryana constructed at a cost of Rs 60 crore, Hooda said it was the second computerised water plant after the Sonia Vihar water treatment plant in Delhi.

Now, Rohtak residents will get 135 litres of water per day per person and there will be no problem here till 2020. Besides, he laid the foundation stone of five buildings in Maharshi Dayanand University, which would cost Rs 67 crore.

Earlier, during a welcome function at Bahadurgarh, he said the foundation stone of the fourth power plant of 1,320 MW will be laid on January 10 in Jharli.

Criticising his predecessors, including INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala and Haryana Janhit Congress leader Bhajan Lal, for their failure in taking any concrete steps in making the state self-reliant in power production, the Haryana CM said during the short span of four years, the Congress government had succeeded in installing three power plants. He said without power, the all-round development of the state will not be possible.

He said Haryana was moving forward in all fields and will soon leave behind all states of the country as far as development was concerned.
