HPCC criticises INLD, Bhajan for inaction on power front

Hisar, February 5 Lashing out at both INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala and former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal for raking up issues like water, electricity and the BPL list, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Ved Parkash Vidrohi today said they were feeling politically insecure following the growing popularity of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government in Haryana.

Calling their demonstration a political farce, he alleged that both Chautala and Bhajan Lal were responsible for the power shortage in the state as they did nothing for power generation during their respective regimes. “Chautala and Bhajan Lal were in power for 12 years but never initiated setting up of a power plant in the state. They must give an explanation why nothing happened,” he demanded.

Patting Hooda’s back, Vidrohi claimed that it was the Congress government that managed to set up 600 and 1200 MW power plant in Yamunanagar and Khed Hisar, respectively.

Instead of ctiticising the Hooda government by holding rallies, Bhajan Lal and Chautala must explain why no objection was raised by the supporters of Chautala, Bhajan lal and BJP when government officials visited 676 villages in the state to inspect the BPL list. He also recalled the bad shape of law and order and goonda raj during the Chautala regime.
