Ambala, March 1 Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) working president Kuldip Sharma has demanded a high level inquiry into the benami properties of Kuldip Bishnoi. He said Bishnoi had acquired the properties in Gurgaon and Faridabad districts when his father Bhajan Lal was the Chief Minister of Haryana.

He further claimed that Bishnoi was opposing the creation of special economic zones (SEZs) because he feared the government might not acquire his lands in Gurgaon belt.

Sharma was interacting with media persons at the PWD Rest House in Ambala Cantonment today. The HPCC president, Phool Chand Mullana, was also present on the occasion. Sharma said the former Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal, did not do anything for the farmers of Haryana. He further added that the anti-farmer policies of Lal proved counterproductive to the Congress Party, as it remained out of power in the state for about 14 years.

Mullana and Sharma also praised the Union Budget, which they said would benefit the farmers in particular.
