Panchkula Six years after having floated a housing scheme in 2005, Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is planning a new housing scheme in Panchkula in August.

Perhaps, last of the scheme from the development authority, officials are busy digging out details about unallotted plots in all the sectors of Panchkula Urban Estate.

“By next week the list will be ready. There are around 700-800 unallotted plots from Sector 2 to 31. By next month, we will float the scheme,” HUDA Administrator R K Kataria said.

Also, if the court decides in HUDA’s favour the vacant land at Sector 2 of Mansi Devi Complex, then the authority will float a housing scheme on it too. “But, as of now, there is no land available,” he said.

The allotment of plots will be done through a draw of lots and the rate is expected to be around Rs 12,000-13,000 per sq yard.

There are no residential plots available in Sector 1, 3, 5 and Industrial Area of Panchkula. In Sector 1, there is Civil Secretariat, district courts and Red Bishop tourist complex, in Sector 3 there is a golf course, Tau Devilal sports stadium, golf course and Devi Nagar village, and in Sector 5, there is only commercial space available and in Industrial Area plots are available for industries only.

HUDA is also identifying commercial properties or plots which could be auctioned.

“We have demand for commercial properties in Mansa Devi Complex and old sectors of Panchkula like Sector 7, 9, 15,11,14 and 17. There is a demand for small booths in Sector 20, 26, 27 and 28. And big booths are in demand in 11, 14 and 20. We have also received demand for sites for restaurants, nursing homes and clinics, so such sites will also be put to auction,” Kataria said.

Meanwhile, HUDA’s Pinjore-Kalka urban complex project, which is spread over 550 acres, will have three Sectors—27, 28 and 30—on the left side of NH-22 and it plans to float a scheme soon.

The authority has already demarcated the land and a final layout is being prepared.

As for Sectors 3, 4 and 5, which are spread over 500 acres on the right side of Amravati Enclave, HUDA has just acquired the land.

“For Barwala Kot-Billa urban complex, we have planned three sectors. We are identifying the land in the area,” Kataria added.
