Chandigarh It's been more than six months that Mahesh Kumar Gupta, a lecturer at National Institute of Technology ( NIT), Kurukshetra, is waiting to get a copy of relevant advertisement from the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) under the Right to Information Act.

He has not been given the desired information yet, despite the fact that six months ago, G Madhvan, Chief Information Commissioner Haryana, directed HUDA to provide him a copy of the advertisement in which plots under the Government Service Reserve Quota (GSRQ) were advertised for Sector 15, Sonepat. Disappointed over HUDA’s delaying tactics, Gupta is back at the door of the CIC, demanding penalty and disciplinary action against the concerned officer for non-compliance of orders.

In June last year, Gupta had filed an application under the RTI to get a certified copy of the advertisement through which HUDA Authority advertised plot no 14 in sector 15, Part-IV, Sonepat. He had also asked certified copy of the application form along with all the enclosures of the allottee of the plot.

The Sonepat office of HUDA took a month to decline him the information, saying that the allottee of the plot, Rajpal Singh Lohchab, had objected to provide him the information and as it belonged to a third party.
