Ludhiana, February 29 To clear the pending traffic cases and challans, elaborate arrangements are being made to organise a mega Traffic Lok Adalat at the New Judicial Court Complex on March 7 and 8.

In this regard, a meeting of concerned officers was held under the chairmanship of the District and Sessions Judge GK Rai today to review the progress of arrangements being made.

The District and Sessions Judge asked the Municipal Corporation to ensure proper cleanliness around the courts complex. He has directed the concerned police officers to present all the pending challans for clearance before the judicial Bench.

Giving more details, District and Sessions Judge Rai said all the presiding officers at Ludhiana will preside over the Benches to ensure that all pending cases are disposed of. The judge said more than 12,000 traffic challans are pending in the courts. He said an enquiry counter would be set up to guide people about the concerned benches dealing with their cases.

He said now when the Lok Adalat system is gradually emerging as a powerful movement to seek justice, he appealed to people to come with complete documents, so that their cases can be cleared on the spot.
