IAS, IPS officers transferred

Lucknow Continuing with the transfer spree for the second consecutive day, the Mayawati government has transferred several senior IAS officers as well as 13 IPS officers on Friday.

The senior-most IAS officer Vinod Kumar Malhotra, who was the Chairman, Board of Revenue, has now been made the Chairman of Pradeshiya Industrial & Investment Corporation of UP. R Ramni has been made the new Chairman, Board of Revenue.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister JN Chamber has been given the additional charge of the Secretariat Administration Department. Chamber has been released from the charge of the Department of IT and Electronics. Principal Secretary of Small Industries V Rajgopalan has been sent to New Delhi as the Resident Commissioner, UP. Chandra Prakash, the Principal Secretary of Forest, has been transferred to the Department of IT and Electronics and Parmeshwaran Aiyer has been sent to Forest. Aiyer was so far holding the charge of Higher Education.

BM Meena, Principal Secretary of Agriculture, has been sent to Minorities’ Welfare and has been replaced by V V Singh Vishwane, who was shifted on Thursday to the Minorities Welfare Department.

The government has withdrawn the charge of Secretary Vigilance from Arun Kumar Sinha, Secretary to Chief Minister. There were several changes among the IPS officers too. Superintendent of Police (SP) V K Dhore has been made the SP of Jaunpur, while Mirzapur SP Pratinder Singh has been asked to join as the SP of Sitapur. Ravi Kumar Lokku, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ghaziabad has been made the SSP of Ghazipur. Superintendent of Police of Ghazipur Brij Raj has been asked to join as the SSP of Ghazibad.

K Ejilear Assane, who was the SP of Shahanjahanpur, is now the Commandant of 37th Battalion PAC; SP Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department Prashant Kumar (II) has been made SP of Shahanjanpur. The former Commandant of 37th Battalion PAC AK Singh has been now been asked to join as the Commandant of 33 Battalion PAC.
