IIT Bombay to offer certificate programme in Ahmedabad

Vadodara The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has announced a certificate programme in Supply Chain Management at Ahmedabad. The classes for this course will be held at centres located at Navrangpura, Vastrapur, Bodakdev and Paldi.

The certificate program is meant for students and young working professionals, and deals with areas of Retail Management, International Trade, Export, Import, Logistics, ERP, advanced IT implementations and other sectors. Prof Karuna Jain and Prof Indrajit Mukherjee will be the programme directors.

The eligibility for the programme is minimum 50 per cent marks in graduation or in diploma in any discipline. The duration of the programme will be six months and classes will be held once a week through video conferencing. The evaluation of the students' performance will be done on a continuous basis and IIT-Bombay will provide the certificate.

The total fee for the program is Rs 62,500 including application charges. The last date for submission of the form is 25th January 2009.

The documents required for admission in the programme are graduation mark-sheet, statement of purpose, experience details, proof of current employment and a passport size photograph.
