Impressive win for HT team

Lucknow, February 27 Hindustan Times registered an impressive nine wicket victory against Rashtriya Swaroop in their quarter-final match of the 1st Sahara Cup Media Cricket-2008 at LDA Stadium here on Wednesday.

Brief Scores:Rashtriya Swaroop: 51all out in 13.3 overs ( Sanjeev Bajpai 29 not out; Lalit Mohan 4 for 17, Mohit Bhagar 3 for 20, Hari Narayan 2 for 2, Rajeev Srivastava 1 for 8);
Hindustan Times: 54 for one in 4.2 overs (Hari Narayan 13, Krishna Kumar 12 not out; Vijay Kumar 1 for 13). Man-of-the-match: Lalit Mohan.

Bridge tourney
BB Lal and GN Mehrotra emerged winner in a matchpoint pairs event at organised at Lucknow Club as part of a local bridge tourney on Tuesday evening. 14 pairs played 11 rounds of 2 boards each. The matchpoint pairs was very closely contested between top three finishers. Winning margin was just 0.35 matchpoint and the difference between second and third placed pair was 0.42 matchpoint. With 9 tops, 3 above average and 3 zeroes BB Lal and GN Mehrotra won the event.
The Results:1. BB Lal & GN Mehrotra 59.66%;
2. SA Abbasi & BD Sarkar 59.41%;
3. Dr SK Agarwal & BN Rastogi 59.09%.
