Shimla Bar steps up opposition to new judicial complex
SHIMLA:Stepping up its opposition to the proposed judicial courts complex, the Shimla Bar Association tried to seek support of some voluntary and social organisations, besides elected public representatives, on Thursday to build up pressures to abandon the plans. A statement issued by the association said an 11-member joint action committee would chalk out the future course of action and also a protest plan. “The site proposed by the government (the foundation stone was laid by the chief justice of India) is not suitable because it is far away from the town,” said the statement.
