NOIDA A family, whose minor daughter has allegedly been kidnapped twice, has failed to get an FIR registered against the accused.

According to Jagan Nath, father of the kidnapped minor, the girl was kidnapped twice at knifepoint from their house in Behlolpur village.

“The first time she was kidnapped was November 30. The boy is from the same village and has criminal connections. He released my daughter after being warned by the police,” Nath said.

The family moved to Ludhiana, where Nath said he had secured a job as a security guard. But the girl and her mother had to return to the village on December 26, as the boy had allegedly kidnapped his grandson. “My other daughter lives in Behlolpur and the boy kidnapped her child and said he would release him when my younger daughter returns to the village. When she returned, my daughter was again kidnapped at knifepoint by the boy, in front of the whole family,” Nath said.

Tired of doing the rounds of the Sector-58 police station, Nath said his family has gone into hiding. “I was threatened by the boy and his family. The whole family is living in hiding. I had complained to the police but have not been heard till date,” he alleged.

Contrary to Nath’s claims, station house officer Devender Kumar said he is aware of the case and that a missing complaint regarding the girl has been lodged in the police station. “The villagers said the girl has gone with the boy willingly but as the girl is still a minor we will investigate the matter in detail,” Kumar said.
