It was their first anniversary, and they’ve certainly stepped into the New Year with a big bang. A glittering Chandigarh Club played host to the first anniversary bash of city-based lifestyle and entertainment magazine, Glimpse, on Saturday night. Run by Rahulinder Singh Sidhu, this 92-page glossy in the last one year has picked pace, dashing its way to the front row on the stands. Meanwhile, Saturday saw celebs including rapper Hard Kaur, MTV VJ Rannvijay, boxer Vijender Singh, actor Puneet Issar, Candy Brar, Amanpreet Wahi among others take centrestage at the event. While Hard Kaur rapped to her favourite numbers and kept the audience alive and dancing, Rannvijay took a moment and told us about his next flick, Toss. “It’s a thriller with three guys and three girls,” hmmm, something on the lines of I know what you did last summer, we guess. There are two-three more, but currently, he’s here for London Dreams too. Reviving the days of Mahabharata, Puneet Issar, who played Duryodhana, said how there are nine emotions and all make a comeback. “There was a time when religious themes were tops, then came larger than life cinema, so it all goes in a cycle,” he’s in town finalising shooting locations for his film, Nischay Kar Apni Jeet Karo. “It has an international starcast, including Miss UK and Gulzar Chahal,” he said. Dodging all the girl fans, boxing champ Vijender Singh talked of his green room chat with Bipasha Basu and a kickboxing bout with Akshay Kumar. “No, no bollywood for me now,” he smiles shyly, focusing on his training for nationals in Patiala. He’s also into voice modulation classes these days, to improve upon the accent. Phew, it’s not easy being in the limelight!
