Chaudhary: There are several other major encroachment in the form of unauthorised buildings in the city, the civic agencies should target them first. They should come here thereafter.

Singh: LMC should come up with provisions for gardening areas. It should redefine encroachment and such enclosed areas should be excluded from it.

It is true that most of the times the kitchen gardens maintained by the influential persons are not touched during the anti-encroachment drive. This time, Gomti Nagar, which houses several senior government officials are on LMC’s hit list. Irrespective of the individual’s stature, this time, our drive will target them.
