Social activist and Rickshaw Panchayat union leader Baba Adhav has called on the RTO and the traffic police to spread awareness of traffic rules amongst the youth.

“The youth needs to be inculcated with traffic discipline. Those on two-wheelers are particularly rash and it must become RTO and traffic police’s first priority to initiate awareness among the youth,” Adhav said. Earlier, artist Mangesh Tendulkar asked the RTO and traffic police to continue with the momentum built by the 20th road safety week, which concluded on Monday. He asked the city’s commuters to drive with equanimity on the roads. Prizes were also given away to winners of the art competition held by the RTO and the traffic police on the theme of the road safety week.
