Industrial Cricket tournament: Wilo Mather, TML ‘A’ advance

Pune Wilo Mather & Platt, TML ‘A’ advanced to the next round of the Twenty-20 Industrial Cricket tournament organised by Tata Motors, Pimpri and held at the Tata Motors cricket ground Pimpri on Wednesday.

TML 'A' played their match against TML PCBU, who won the toss and elected to bat first. TML PCBU were bundled out for 101 runs in 17.2 overs. Suresh Bhonsale top-scored with 28 runs and Shailendra Nawathe chipped in with 25 runs. Waman Jere spearheaded the TML ‘A’ bowling picking up three crucial wickets. Yashavant Kombire and Manoj Ingawale picked up a wicket each and helped restrict the opposition.

In reply, TML ‘A’ achieved their target in 18.2 overs and with three wickets to spare. Mahesh More steered his team to victory with a brilliant run-a-ball knock of 44 runs. Kailash Dange was TML PCBU’s main bowler, picking up three wickets for 29 runs.

In another match, Wilo Mather & Platt defeated Incat by eight wickets. Incat won the toss and batted first. They put up a meagre total of 80 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their stipulated 20 overs with Amar Shilamkar top-scoring with 22 runs. Mayur Bandekar and Kiran Bhonsale picked up two wickets each and restricted the opposition to a small total. In reply, Wilo Mather & Platt achieved their target with eight wickets and seven overs to spare. Manish Desai top-scored with 31 runs and Yogesh Pawase bowled well for the losing team.
