Chandigarh Rann Singh Mann, media incharge of Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC), has demanded a white paper on the land returned to the original owners after notification of Section 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act by the present Congress and the previous Om Prakash Chautala governments.

Addressing a joint press conference on Wednesday with HJC spokesperson Satpal Kaushik, Mann said both the INLD and the Congress had indulged in many wrong practices and people had a right to know the truth. “The two are hand in glove when it comes to corruption,” he added. Objecting to the ‘Bharat Gaurav’ award being presented to INLD MP Ajay Chautala, Mann said it was strange that the award, instituted by a NGO founded by former CBI chief Joginder Singh, was given by Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi, belonging to the Congress party. Satpal Kaushik wondered about the fate of the chargesheet filed against the Chautalas “prepared with so much publicity and fanfare before the last elections in the state”.

HJC president Kuldeep Bishnoi had promised to make the salaries of state government employees at par with the Central government if it comes to power.
