Jatinder won the title at a contest held in Mumbai this February. A postgraduate in Computer Sciences, Singh is currently working for the HCL Infosystems. "I participated in the contest to make a mark. I had all the prerequisites to participate in the contest including a good height, well-toned physique and above all a sound knowledge about our Punjabi culture and Sikhism."
This strapping young lad, whose father is an Indian Air Force officer, spews oodles of confidence as he says, "I virtually didn't need any kind of preparation for the contest. Religion is something that we practice every day at home while the symbols of Sikhism, the turban, kara, beard including other things that I already have since I was born into a Sikh family. I stick to these symbols for they help me stand apart in the crowd. These symbols of my religion make me unique person."
"I have vowed to make a difference to the identity of Sikh boys. After winning this title, its is my responsibility to let the world know what does it mean to be a sabut surat Sikh (a complete Sikh).
