Thanks to her critically acclaimed debut show Choodiyan, fame and success knocked her door early in life but Nigam made it a point to avoid an overkill. “I believe in leading an easy life. Though I have been working constantly, I didn’t overdo it. I was also busy with shows for channels in Pakistan,” says the actor who has also been seen in shows like Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan on Star Plus. “Choodiyan was my first show, so it was talked about a lot. Krishna Arjun too became popular.”
In the interim, Nigam even dabbled in movies like the experimental Yattharth but she hates talking about the past. “There is nothing much to talk about those films. I’m currently looking forward to my new role as an anchor,” she says. “I am a friendly person but I never knew I can be so good in chatting with people. They open up to me naturally. I am ready to accept more anchoring offers.”
Though television still keeps her pre-occupied, Nigam is already acting in a Hindi film. She’s reluctant to let out details. “I am acting in a Hindi film. But I’m not supposed to talk about it now.”
