Inter-IT T20 cricket tourney from Sunday

Pune Cybage Software Pvt Ltd will bring together the top 16 teams from the Information Technology sector to battle for the Inter-IT Cricket Championship.

The championship will kick start on Saturday at the Poona Club Ground and will offer a total prize money of Rs.1.5 lakh. The competition will be held over two months, with 31 matches being played, only on weekends.

'Cybage T20 Inter IT Cup 09' will be inaugurated at the Poona Club ground Saturday by Chandu Borde, former Indian captain. IT majors like Cognizant, Infosys, Amdocs, Barclays Technology, Tech Mahindra, Sungard, S|One (I) Pvt. Ltd., Capgemini, Wipro Technologies, BMC Software, Syntel, HSBC GLT, Honeywell Automation, IBM and Symantec Corporation will be the teams to watch in the championship, said a press note.

The winners and runner up of the Cybage T20 Inter IT Cup 09 will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. The best batsman, best bowler, best fielder and man of the series will be awarded with a cash prize and a trophy. There will also be a man of the match after each match, who will receive a trophy and a cash prize, the note said.
