Inter-state robbers held in Gurgaon

Gurgaon The Gurgaon police arrested two criminals from Sector-46 late on Friday. Naseem Khan and Ansari are natives of Jharkhand and are wanted in Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar and Orissa for over 10 cases of bank robbery, Anil Dhawan, DCP (Crime), said.

The police recovered a car, a pistol, iron rods, pan cards, ration cards, voter ID cards, passbooks and ATM cards from their possession. Working on a tip-off, the Gurgaon police zeroed in on the criminals near the Hero Honda Chowk, where they were planning to rob a bank, the police said.

The police are also on the lookout for their accomplices Madhav Ravidas, the gang leader, Alok Sinha, Prabhunath Singh, Neeraj and Pankaj.

“Their biggest robbery involved a sum of Rs 3.4 crore, from a Bank of Baroda branch in Baweel district, Orissa,” the DCP said. The gang has robbed approximately Rs 5.5 crore in these four states.
