The Hinjewadi police on Thurday arrested Nilesh Dattatray Kedar, employee of the software firm Senate Technology Private Limited, in the alleged Rs 28.91 crore cheating case. He was produced before the district court and was remanded to police custody till January 19. Sandeep Sarode, project manager of the software firm, has lodged a police complaint in this case. According to the police, Senate Technology had sent Nilesh to its UK office about eight months ago to sell a “cost of difference” project to a company based there. Senate Technology has alleged that Nilesh formed his own firm in the name of 24x7 RFP Limited as a mediator to bag the commission.
