The national seminar on ‘Opportunities in IT Sector (Challenges and Solutions)’, held at the SD College Ambala Cantonment, concluded here on Tuesday. The speakers regretted for not having been given sufficient time to express their views while presenting the research papers. One of the speakers from BPSM Mahila Vishwavidyalaya Khanpur, Sushma Joshi while speaking on Cyber crimes in IT Act, expressed her anguish over the manner in which the proceedings were carried hurriedly even after the event was organised and funded by the UGC. She said that teachers from different departments, especially science and IT, failed to show any interest in the seminar. A cross section opined that the seminars should be disbanded as they amount to sheer wastage of money.
