Vadodara Income Tax sleuths from Vadodara raided the offices of surrogate clinic IVF Charotar, owned by Dr Nayna Patel, on Wednesday.

According to senior I-T officials, the raid is likely to continue for three more days, as financial irregularities have been found in the audit of these firms.

Besides Dr Patel’s clinic, the I-T officials also raided the offices of private student immigration and coaching institute, Enbee Education Centre at Alkapuri, and one electric transformer lamination company at Sayajigunj.

An I-T official said these firms have evaded taxes.

“Our personnel are checking the papers of these companies. We will have estimates of the irregularities in two or three days,” he said.

Dr Patel’s clinic was in the news recently for allegedly mistreating a patient from a village, which led to her death.
