Javed Akhtar memorial trophy for IOB cager Harish

Mumbai The Javed Akhtar Trophy for the best men's player in the Silver Jubilee Ramu Memorial Basketball Tournament, was awarded to Indian Overseas Bank cager K Harish. Harish was chosen as the best player by the technical committee of the tournament, which concluded here yesterday at the Indian Gymkhana. The trophy has been instituted by the Sports Journalists Association of Mumbai to perpetuate the memory of one of their members and former Western Railway cager Akhtar who died in January. Incidentally Western Railway won the men's crown defeating IOB 89-83 in a well-contested final.
