TV serial chocolate boy turns dance show host

After dancing his way into TV viewers' heart with his performance and good looks in 'Kayamath', Jay Bhanushali is poised to make fresh talent dance to his tunes.

To celebrate the success of the first leg of Zee TV's latest reality show, Dance India Dance, its charming host was in Lucknow on Thursday. "It's tough to be an anchor, but I love the challenge," says Bhanushali, sharing why he is a hit with the contestants.

"Having been a contestant myself recently, I can sense their state of mind when they are about to perform. My tips come handy to them and they just adore me for being there dost-cum-host," says the actor, who was one of the finalists of 'Jhalak Dikhala Ja'.

"The show is different in the sense that it's the first reality show to test hardcore dancing abilities and the fact that trained choreographers script your moves provide quality to the content," says Bhanushali, who finds his participants "far more talented" than himself.

"I am sure they will take choreography to a new height," he says, dismissing the notion that such shows do not come handy for participants in Bollywood.

"The winner gets a Rs 50-lakh contract with Zee TV, while others who rock may get picked up as choreographers by bigwigs of the industry," he says, admitting he is yet to get any offer from film producers.

"When TV viewers get bored with me, I will try to find work in movies," he says. "As of now you can see me shaking a leg with Salman Khan on Dance India Dance this Friday."
