Another UP lad who added to the glitter on Thursday was telestar Vikrant Rai, an Azamgarh boy who is looking forward to playing a significant part in Sahara One’s Meri Sasural after having made his presence felt in serials like Mayka and Kavyanjali.

Still shy of playing the central lead Vikrant says his small scren carer has been chalked out as per a well planned strategy and he has reasons to avoid getting int he limelight as main male lead just yet. He however decined to cite reasons for his actions. “I am here to stay on TV for a long time so I have no insecurities, “ commented when scribes pried further.

The son of a naval officer, Vikrant entered the television industry quite by chance and has played significant bit roles in serials like Ghar ki Laxmi Betiyan apart from Mayka and Kavyanjali.

And that’s all he’s up to for the moment career wise. As for other plans, the hunt for a bride is on in full swing for thishunk who likes a homely girl who is traditional as also modern, respecting Indian values and family life.
