Garima Chaudhary defeated N Nidhi of Haryana in the final by applying a choke in ground technique to retain the 63 kg gold. In the bouts held before the final, Garima defeated D Bhawani of Andhra Pradesh, Uma Chauhan of Uttarakhand, Rajni Patil of Karnataka and Brojeshwari of CRPF.

Landhoni Devi, an international judoka from Lucknow, fetched UP a bronze in the 70 kg weight category.

Earlier in the day, the event was inaugurated by SN Singh (IPS). Aditi Nigam and Rohib Naib gave an enthralling performance of Sports Yoga during th opening ceremony.
