The civic body has asked for Rs 1175.42 crore to fund its 12 development projects to keep pace with its fast growing population.

Under the scheme, KDMC would receive 35 per cent funds for its projects from central government, 15 per cent from the state government and would have to fund the rest from its kitty.

According to civic city engineer P K Ugale, four of the 12 projects have received approval.
