Chandigarh, January 7 Rameshwar Prasad (40), a resident of Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, is in need of Rs 3.5 lakh required for his kidney transplant surgery. Rameshwar, who used to earn his living by working as a labourer, has been on bed for the last one year. Undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh, Prasad is looking forward to public help in raising the required amount.

Those who are willing to help Prasad can contact the officials of Poor Patient Assistance Cell of PGI (telephone number 0172-2756026). A resident of house number 2248, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Prasad is undergoing medical tests for the kidney transplant. According to the PGI doctors, around Rs 3.5 lakh is required for the transplant.

“Only the public can help us as we are not been able to make our both ends meet. My father is bedridden due to which I have to work part-time to support the family. One of our relatives has agreed to donate the kidney but due to shortage of funds we are not able to do so,” said his son Munna Pal, who is a student of electronic mechanic course at the ITI Sector 28.
