Ahmedabad The government may have cancelled the kite festivals scheduled for Mehsana and Vadodara, apparently to divert the participants to Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit, but the participants do not know much about what is in the store for them at the summit.

Those involved in the kite-making business, who also form a major chunk of the participants, only know that apart from attending the VGGIS, they will be flying kites from rooftops in the city.

Ralph Resnik, an artist and kite maker from Israel, said: “We are being taken to the Science City tomorrow. After that, will be flying kites from rooftops. That is all we know. The Tourism department has organised our trip.”

Timi Simpson, the chief administrative officer from Nigeria, will also attend the summit. “Later on, I guess, we will be taken around the city by the organisers,” he said.
