Kohinoor Karandak: Angels beat NES

Pune Angels High School beat NES, Ramanbaug on the basis of their superior first innings lead in the Kohinoor Karandak Cricket Tournament organised by Pune District Cricket Association and played at the Fergusson College cricket ground on Wednesday.

NES won the toss and elected to field first in this two-day affair. Angels school in their first innings were bowled out for a healthy 305 runs. Aniket Kamthe top scored with 47 runs and Pratik Kalbhor supported him well with a handy 44 runs. Saurabh Shinde of NES bowled well to pick up three wickets for his team. In reply, NES were bundled out for a measly 106 runs thanks to a brilliant spell of bowling by Digvijay Kalbhor who scalped five wickets for 22 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Pratik Kalbhor supported him well picking up two wickets each. NES followed on in their second innings and managed to score 77 for the loss of two wickets at the close of play. Angels won the match on the basis of a superior first innings lead.

Dnyanganga English Medium School (First Innings): 160 all out in 49.1 overs (Trusharth Sutar 35, Tushar Dhebe 20, Ishwar Bankar 3/49, Ajinkya Shiunde 2/40)

(Second Innings) 160 all out in 31 overs ( Ashutosh Salvi 51, Ishwar Bankar 5/37,Saurav Kutre 3/39)

S Dastur (First Innings) : 97 all out in 40 overs ( Nilesh Alegavkar 20, Sumit Gaikwad 22, Trusharth Sutar 5/36,Kamlesh Pailwan 2/9, Vivek Kundhalkar 2/3)

(Second Innings) : 52 all out in 27 overs (Trusharth Sutar 4/14)
