The event — held at the KPIT Cummins’ Hinjewadi campus for World Organisation of Student and Youth (WOSY) — offered valuable insights into the IT industry in India and career opportunities in it. At present, these students are pursuing various courses — Computer Science, IT, Management, Science and Commerce — in Pune University.
“This initiative by KPIT Cummins was designed specially to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and to learn how best they can be leveraged in their respective stream,” said Sachin Tikekar, chief of People Operations, KPIT Cummins Infosystems.
Elaborating on the event, Jasen Geimoori, final year student from Wadia College of Commerce, said, “In the wake of global economy slowdown, this initiative is extremely encouraging. This session was enlightening and such events help in shaping our future.”
