Mumbai Australian diva Kylie Minogue is set to shoot for her first Bollywood movie. The singer and songwriter was expected to land in Mumbai on late Wednesday evening.

Minogue will be shooting for a song for the movie Blue which stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan and Lara Dutta. So far the movie has been in the news as it brings together two of Bollywood’s big stars—Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt — on the big screen for the first time. The film also grabbed headlines after a near-fatal mishap in the Bahamas during the shoot of a sequence that required a ship to be blown up.

Anthony D’Souza, director of Blue, confirmed Minogue’s visit. “She has worked on one promotional song for the movie and she will be here to shoot for it,” he said, “She will also be shooting for a scene with the entire cast.” This, however, will not be the Australian diva’s first foray into acting, a guest appearance though it may be she has acted in movies like Street Fighter and Moulin Rouge. She was also seen in the popular Australian television show Neighbours. This will be Minogue’s first Bollywood film.

Given the fact that Minogue is a popular international star and a household name the details of the trip are strictly under wraps. Even the location of the shoot and the name of the hotel where the singer will be staying have not been revealed.

The only confirmed information is that she is going to shoot for a song with Akshay Kumar which will be choreographed by Farah Khan. A source revealed that Minogue’s schedule is so packed that she does not even have time to venture out of the city or go sightseeing.
