Laverry takes Noida title

NOIDA Laverry Kumar shot an impressive one-under 71 round on Friday to overhaul joint overnight leaders Meher Atwal and Vani Kapoor’s lead and win the 10th Noida Ladies Amateur Golf Championship title.

Laverry’s round gave her a total of 12-over 300 at the par-72 Noida Golf Course. Vani and Meher finished second and fourth, respectively, with rounds of 79 and 83. Gauri Monga came from behind to join Vani in the second spot with a level par round.

In the Silver B Category over three days, Ridhima Dilwaria took the best gross with a score of 263, followed by Millie Saroha at 264.

The Bronze C Category, also over three days, was won by Nalini Sharma of the Noida Golf Course, with a total score of 291. She was follwed by YR Yang, who won on a countback from Seher Atwal, in second place at 305.
