The salaries of Junior Law Officers and Assistant Law Officers working with the General Wing of the MCD will be revised soon, with the MCD Commissioner recommending the hike on Monday.

The salaries are being revised to bring them on par with the salaries drawn by similarly placed officials in the DDA, Slum and JJ Wing of the MCD and the Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs, Government of India. The new scales will take retrospective effect from January 1, 1996. MCD Law and General Purposes Committee chairperson Mudita Gupta said, “Better monetary incentives will make the officers work more sincerely.”
