Lawn Tennis Academy tournament: Mane, Devkar win

Pune Snehal Mane, Kaustubh Devkar, Vaibhavi Kachava, Jayesh Pungaliya and Liyaan Akalkotkar won titles in their respective events at the first district level tennis tournament organised by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Tennis academy at their centre in Nigdi. R S Kumar, former Mayor, Pimpri-Chinchawad Municipal Corporation, gave away the prizes.

Results:

Boys under-8: Jay Devkar bt Sangram Mane 6-1

Girls under-8: Labhadhi Gandhi bt Isha Karnawat 6-3

Boys under 10 Semis: Siddharth Bhantia bt Piyush Salekar 7-2

Shubhankar Hardikar bt Arman Jindal 7-3

Final: Siddharth Bantiya bt Shubhankar Hardikar 8-5

Girls under-10: Snehal Mane bt Ketaki Shinde 6-0

Boys under 12: Semis: Prajeet Oswal bt Sharan Rajane 8-4; Koustubh

Devkar bt Sanket Avhale 8-1

Final: Koustubh Devkar bt Prajeet Oswal 9-2

Girls under-12: Vaibhavi Kachhawa bt Prachi Naidu 8-6

Boys under-14 Semis: Jayesh Pungaliya bt Sudhanshu Medsikar 8-1; Kanak Kulkarni bt Yash Chawada 8-2

Final: Jayesh Pungaliya bt Kanak Kulkarni 9-7

Girls under-14 Semis: Liyan Akkalkotkar bt Ruchi Shewade 8-1; Sanaya Kurup bt Niyati Kohali 8-3

Final: Liyan Akkalkotkar bt Sanaya Kurup 9-2
