Book your tickets for Live Earth concert is comin’ to India!

Exactly how many times in a lifetime does one get to see Jon Bon Jovi live? Or Roger Waters and Will.I.Am? If you are very lucky, once. But fear not earthly mortals, here’s your once-in-a-lifetime chance to catch them live on stage with the best of Bollywood in Star and Live Earth’s exclusive concert on December 7 in none other than amchi Mumbai. For the uninitiated, the Live Earth commitment is to work for a greener planet and implement the Live Earth Green Event Guidelines developed for the first Live Earth concerts for a climate in crisis which took place on 07.07.07. But the main Live Earth India beneficiaries are TERI’s (The Energy and Resources Institute) Light a Billion Lives campaign and Climate Project India.

“It’s all about activating Indians and engaging them in combating the climate crisis. And what better way than to use the power of world-renowned artists!” comments Sabbas Joseph, Wiz director, Live Earth India whose Wizcraft International Entertainment is producing the concert in partnership with Control Room. Apart from the talented Mr Jovi, Mr Waters and Mr Will.I.Am, the Live Earth India concert will see Live Earth India spokesperson and actor, Amitabh Bachchan, Anoushka Shankar, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Shiamak Davar, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Hard Kaur, Jalebee Cartel, Vishal & Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Shaan...phew...all set to rock on and save the planet. There will also be appearances from former U.S Vice President Al Gore, IPCC Chairman and Director General TERI India Dr. Rajendra K Pachauri.

Says Uday Shankar, Chief Executive Officer, STAR India Pvt Ltd, “It echoes our philosophy of improving the quality of life on our planet through building positive action for our environment.” “Live Earth’s mission is to leverage the power of music and entertainment to focus the world’s attention on the most pressing environmental issues of our time and then actively affect change,” chips in Kevin Wall, Live Earth founder.
