Londhe who possessed a revolver and a rifle had forged a weapons licence allegedly from the Jammu and Kashmir Ministry as well as the Amritsar government, and submitted it to the District Collectorate claiming them to be genuine. Londhe’s deceased brother Haribhau Londhe also owned a rifle.
When the accused had surrendered a revolver and rifle to the Lonikalbhor police station, wherein the document had come under scrutiny and the Jammu and Kashmir government had been notified in 1999. However after the government denied issuing any such licence, the chargesheet was filed against Londhe.
