After the recent Twenty20 fever, it time now for yet another shorter and crisper version. Ten10 Gully Cricket. And this time it will not be played on a cricket field. The venues will be local gullies where most Indians experience their first thrill of playing cricket. To be a part of it you do not need to be a professional or trained cricketer - your love and enthusiasm for the game of cricket will be the deciding parameter for selection.

Organised by Gillette India Limited in ten cities of India including Lucknow, the contest has been named Vector Plus Gully Cricket Trophy. The tournament will start on January 18 and 50 matches each will be played simultaneously in all 10 cities.

“Each city will have its individual champion and 10 trophies will be given, along with a cash prize, to the winning team of all the cities. And as cricket is considered to be religion in India, I am sure this will surely prove to be yet another chiller for the avid cricket fans of the country’’, said Ravi Kissen who was in the city to announce the tournament.

PS: The selection process and other details will be aired on Radio Mirchi in all the cities.
