Ludhiana A supporter of Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia managed to successfully kill two birds with one stone by holding a meeting of the youth activists of the party here today.

Maninder Pal Singh Sunny, a Majithia supporter and a youth Akali leader himself, today held a meeting of the youth workers of the party to ‘mobilise them for working for the party’. Sunny called upon the youth workers to gear up for the coming Lok Sabha elections and start working right now.

He called upon the youth activists to be ready for the youth wing’s rally in the first week of February. He said that in this rally, a sum of at least Rs 21 lakh would be collected and would be presented to the state youth leadership.

Later during an interaction with the mediapersons, when he was asked whether he will support Majithia if he was chosen as the party’s candidate from Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat, Sunny said, “If Majithia is given the party ticket, we will make sure that he wins the seat by a margin of at least 1.50 lakh votes.”

Meanwhile, according to those in the political circles, Sunny had held this meeting to stake his claim on some post in the youth wing of the party.
