Ram Bahadur (28), residing at Patang Plaza, behind Bharati Vidyapeeth, was smashed to death with wooden batons by three persons around 4.30 am on Tuesday. Bahadur was working as a cook with one Kalyankumar Shivkumar Cogniveli, an MBBS student of Bhararti Vidyapeeth. Kalyankumar has lodged a complaint with the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station against some Ratan Nepali and his two associates for allegedly killing Bahadur following a past dispute. The police said that Bahadur and Ratan knew each other as they both hailed from same place in Nepal. Ratan and his associates were absconding. PI U N Sonawane is investigating the case.
