Farmer murders wife
BATHINDA: A person allegedly murdered his wife with a sharp-edged agricultural implement in the wee hours of Sunday in Kothe Chhapri Wala village of the district. Police have registered a case against Baldev Singh, who is absconding. “Baldev was upset with his wife, thinking that she played a role in the love marriage of his niece, who tied the knot with a boy of Chotian village in Muktsar district,” said Nahianwala SHO Daljit Singh Gill, adding that the accused and his two brothers lived in a joint family and were against the marriage.
