According to police sub inspector, J P Rana, who is investigating the case, the incident occurred when the girl's father, Ghoslaram Bavla, a farmer from the area, was having liquor in the company of the accused, Arjun Danukh, at his house in Kanawat.
"The girl came looking for her father at Danukh's place. The accused took the advantage of her father's inebriated state and raped her," said Rana.
The police official said that the girl herself filed the FIR against the accused.
Later on Wednesday, Rana and other police officials launched a manhunt in the village and arrested Danukh, a daily wager, hiding near a field.
Police said that the accused has confessed to his crime.
