While the big cat has been quarantined, the priority of the authorities is to ensure that the tiger starts taking food and drinking water.
“The tiger reached the zoo around 5:30 am. It will continue to remain in isolation for the next four days,” said Utkarsh Shukla, Veterinary officer of Lucknow Zoo.
The officials have still not decided whether the animal will be kept in the zoo or not. While on the run, the tiger had killed five people.
