Dharamshala Vijai Singh Mankotia, who had resigned from active politics a few months ago, today floated a non-political outfit to “combat social evils and corruption”. Mankotia had quit politics in October 2008, saying he was a “misfit” in the political scenario.

Mankotia said the new organisation would be known as Adalat-e-Aawam (court of the people) and it will expose the corrupt and check anti-social activities. Talking to mediapersons here, Mankotia said membership of the organization is open to all and an executive body is being set up in every district. This body will comprise at least five eminent persons, including a legal expert, an educationist, a retired soldier and a retired government official from the administration side.

These executive bodies would meet at their respective district headquarters and listen to people’s problems.
